We are open outside of our regular office hours (8:00 am to 5:00pm) for late appointments Monday through Thursday until 6:00 p.m.

Saturday appointments are available from 8:00 a.m. until noon for scheduled well and sick visits.

Kidz1st offers Blomdahl Medical Ear Piercing to all ages, men, women, children and infants. We have been providing this service for over 30 years! 

You can receive help with breastfeeding issues such as latching on, low milk supply, and sore nipples.

Our providers can share tips on working with your breast pump, safely storing breast milk & returning to work.

Our Travel Clinic is designed specifically with pediatric patients in mind. When you schedule a travel consultation, we will consider where you are traveling, the duration of your trip, and the potential infectious exposures you may encounter on your journey. You will be advised as to what vaccinations are required and/or recommended based on your itinerary as well as what medications are suggested for prevention or treatment of various conditions such as malaria or traveler’s diarrhea.

Reach Out and Read is a national nonprofit organization that gives young children a foundation for success by incorporating books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read aloud together.

At Kidz1st we are strong believers and proponents of literacy. We also know that reading can change children's and family's lives altogether. That is why we created Recycled Reader, this is an extension of the national Reach out and Read Program.

Phone nurses are available to parents during regular business hours (M-F 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m, and Sat. from 8:00 am - 12:00 am). Call the office at, 248-651-8197 and choose the correct prompt for the phone nurse.  

Fluoride varnish is a pale yellow get that sets quickly when applied to children’s teeth using a soft brush on dried teeth. The varnish sets quickly and has a pleasant taste. Scientific studies have shown that fluoride varnish gives added protection to the teeth against decay when used in addition to regular brushing with fluoride toothpaste.

We know how hard it is to do paperwork while you are trying to keep your child entertained and safe. The questionnaires that you fill out help us learn more about your child, allowing you to share some of the things they do, their strengths, their weaknesses, and your concerns, giving us some insight and resources on how we can help you better.

Because we strive to maximize the time you are in the office, is that we are asking you to complete these forms from your home, BEFORE you come to the office.

Kidz1st EHR (electronic health records) allows our families access to certain sections of your child’s chart.

Each portal is patient specific, which means that each child will have their own account and will have to be individually signed in.

After your child turns 18 yrs. old, he/she will have to sign up and they will be the only ones with access to that information. It will be their choice to share it with parents or not.
